Exciting news!

We have a VERY exciting ANNOUNCEMENT

Following the request at our last meeting with the Cyprus Ministry of Education officials, we were asked to create a presentation for them to understand home education better.

Well, we set our team of UK volunteers and experts to work, and spearheaded by the incredible home-educated teenager Gabriella Rook, we have our presentation ready!

Gabriella did EVERYTHING on her own!

She organised the speakers, arranged Zoom interviews, carried out the interviews, and edited and created this presentation

You can tap the settings in the video to see the Greek subtitles and as they are automatically generated, there are a couple of tiny mistakes in the captions but we can’t do anything about those.

Seriously how many 16-17-year-olds do you know that could do this and do it in the two-week window we gave?

And this was done on a voluntary basis for no financial gain or another gain except to see your wish for home education legalised in Cyprus. It does indeed make us sad that we are receiving voluntary support from people in the UK and can count on one hand the practical support from Cyprus-based supporters when it is the Cyprus-based parents who will gain from all our activity. If you are able to help, please get in touch. We need help managing our social media and website as well as practical running around in Cyprus.

Please share the presentation via Youtube far and wide and get the word out to those who don’t yet understand what home education and alternative education are.

Έχουμε μια πολύ συναρπαστική ΑΝΑΚΟΙΝΩΣΗ

Μετά από αίτημα στην τελευταία μας συνάντηση με το Υπουργείο Παιδείας της Κύπρου, μας ζητήθηκε να δημιουργήσουμε μια παρουσίαση για να κατανοήσουν καλύτερα την οικοδιδασκαλία.

Λοιπόν, βάλαμε την ομάδα μας εθελοντών και ειδικών από το Ηνωμένο Βασίλειο να δουλέψει και με επικεφαλής την απίστευτη κατ’ οίκον μορφωμένη έφηβη Gabriella Rook έχουμε έτοιμη την παρουσίασή μας!

Η Γκαμπριέλα τα έκανε ΟΛΑ μόνη της!

Οργάνωσε τους ομιλητές, κανόνισε συνεντεύξεις μεσω Zoom, πραγματοποίησε τις συνεντεύξεις, επιμελήθηκε και δημιούργησε αυτήν την παρουσίαση

Μπορείτε να πατήσετε τις ρυθμίσεις στο βίντεο για να δείτε τους ελληνικούς υπότιτλους και καθώς δημιουργούνται αυτόματα, υπάρχουν μερικά μικροσκοπικά λάθη στους υπότιτλους, αλλά δεν μπορούμε να κάνουμε τίποτα για αυτά.

Σοβαρά ,πόσα παιδιά 16-17 ετών γνωρίζετε που θα μπορούσαν να το κάνουν αυτό και να το κάνουν στο παράθυρο των δύο εβδομάδων που δώσαμε;

Και αυτό έγινε σε εθελοντική βάση, αφιλοκερδώς απο τους ειδικούς μας που τα κάνουν όλα αυτά χωρίς κανένα οικονομικό ή άλλο όφελος εκτός από το να δουν την επιθυμία σας για οικοδιδασκαλιά να νομιμοποιηθεί στην Κύπρο.

Θα το παρουσιάσουμε επίσημα στο υπουργείο τις επόμενες ημέρες.
